TWO SISTERS ART – Announcement: 30.04.2024

I would like to thank all that have supported me in bringing local Classes to the South Burnett since the beginning of Two Sisters Art in April 2010.
I have come to a time in my life that I need to ‘Give Myself Permission’ to put ME first. I have made the hard decision to stop running classes from my studio and concentrate on my health, my family and my personal goals in life.
I would like to send love and personally thank the following artists who have shared this journey with me for the last 14 years and given so much to the Art Industry.
A big Thank you to my original ‘sister’ Raylee Koch, who has been by my side from day one and is my rock! You are the most honest, reliable, and true friend anyone could ask for.
To Annette Ivins, where I ran my first Scrapbooking classes, at her shop at Kingaroy First Aid. We shared some wonderful times together and I will cherish them forever.
When classes moved to my shed while our house was being built, Cardmaking classes were taught by the amazing papercraft artist Janet O’Connor. Thank you for all your support and love and I cherish all the memories of our travels together.
In 2018 and the addition of the now Studio space, Wendy Patterson, Selena Stevens and I started our very own ‘Cocktails and Canvas’ nights and we had a blast. Thank you so much to Tracey Schloss and JC Catering for amazing food and cocktails for this adventure – you are rockstars!
During this time Two Sisters evolved into mixed media classes with Wendy Patterson and Selena Stevens. You both have contributed to so many fond memories of art, laughter and fun and I love you both dearly.
In the last couple of years, I would also like to thank Shae Cull, Dawn Reibelt and Marjie Zimmermann for being there when I needed you and teaching some amazing classes. Wendy Corstiaans and Trish Erkens for your watercolour classes and Amber Allen (House of Jane) for your textile classes.
And lastly, Fiona Elliot (Elliomoon Arts) and Elisha Wolter for your treasured friendship, your smiles and lots of laughs when I needed them the most. Thanks for giving your time creating classes to share your knowledge and extend our local artists in their skills.
I personally have loved being part of watching all the artists that have come into my life, grow, and find their true self. I have made long life friendships and have cherished the memories.
So, what’s next for Two Sisters Art? The online shop will still operate but will be having massive sales. Personally, I will continue to support local Artists by volunteering at local Art Galleries. I will continue to create and will be exhibiting my creations under my personal brand – TRC Creative (PLUG: upcoming exhibition in June at the Kingaroy Art Gallery).
Elisha and Amber will continue to teach privately, and I will share their details when available.
I hope to keep in touch and keep you all updated on my own personal journey.
Love always x Tania Corbet
