Art Spectrum Watercolour 10ml – Indigo Blue S1 Semi-Transparent

This Art Spectrum Watercolour is composed of lightfast pigments giving your artworks a permanent and long lifespan. The paint is carefully milled to enhance the pigment allowing you to create bright and vibrant works of art. This paint should be used with water and be mixed with other colours to develop stronger tints.

Art Spectrum^® Indigo Blue is a deep purple between blue and violet on the spectrum. Here it is based on a combination of Ultramarine and Prussian blue. The colour has been used since ancient times when both the ancient Greeks and the Romans sourced it from India where it was made from the plant Indigofera Tinctora .

Its name in Greek, ινδικόν  (or ‘Indikon’), simply means ‘dye’.
