2 DAY Chroma /Atelier Workshop – Tricia Reust

Two-Day – Using Chroma Acrylics and Mediums for Painting Workshop With Tricia Reust for Chroma.

Date: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd January 2022.

TIME: 8.30am to 4pm daily.

First Day

Participants will complete six exercises on brush strokes; using three different painting mediums; mixing colour and including how to glaze and how to dry brush.

Materials included are:

Chroma & Two Sisters Art will provide Acrylic Paper and 60 ml containers of Thick, Middle and Thin Painting Mediums for each participant as well as a limited selection of A2 and Atelier Interactive acrylic paint.

Participants bring:

Visual diary and pencil for taking notes.

Masking tape.

Back board (participants will tape individual sheets of paper to the backing board for each exercise – size A4).

Your acrylic paints if you wish (there will be a limited selection of A2 available at the workshop for those who do not use acrylics – as yet!)

Your regular brushes, (including a liner brush and a larger flat Taklon brush at least half an inch wide, and a cheaper flat wide bristle brush for medium application, about an inch wide).

Palette knife.

Fine mist water spritzer.

Two Sisters Art Studio will supply:

Container for water, Cling wrap, Disposable Palette,  Paper towels and sponges.

For Second Day:

We will be painting a landscape using the techniques and mediums explored on the first day.

Brief landscape theory will be discussed, and examples shown of different approaches to painting from the provided landscape image reference photo. Participants are welcome to bring along their own landscape reference photo, or to follow along from what the tutor does.

Two Sisters Art will supply: – 12 by 16 inches Canvas to complete the work on the day.

COVID19 – MASKS TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!

To ensure the welfare and well being of all students, the workshop will be following a COVID19 Safe Plan following current government guidelines.  Please do not attend the workshop if you are feeling unwell or  experiencing any COVID symptoms (fever, a cough, sore throat or shortness of breath).

Cancellation Policy:

There is a $20 administration fee that applies to any workshop cancellation.

If Tricia or myself (Tania) are unable to run the workshop due to illness or other extreme circumstances, we will postpone the workshop to a later date and inform you of this as early as possible.
